Great Falls Non-Profit Organizations
The Celebrate Great Falls Foundation has taken on responsibility for our town’s major annual events, becoming not only the coordinating umbrella under which these hometown events reside, but also continuing to serve as resource for community projects.

Friends of Colvin Run is dedicated to preserving the Colvin Run Mill, Fairfax County’s award-winning restored working example of 19th century water powered gristmilling technology.
To serve as a non-partisan community political advocate to promote all aspects of community interest accruing to a common good and to preserve the historic, low density, semi-rural character of Great Falls and its natural resources.
On May 5th, 1942 the Forestville Volunteer Fire Department was incorporated to serve the citizens of Forestville and Fairfax County. Now know as the Great Falls Fire Department, it relies on thousands of hours a year in volunteer hours, in addition to a professional staff.
The purpose of Great Falls Friends & Neighbors (GFFN) is to establish and foster an atmosphere in which new and current residents of the Langley High School District and the Estates of Lowes Island can develop new friendships and community contacts through social, educational and cultural activities. In addition, the club provides service, support and donations to philanthropic and civic organizations in and around the Great Falls community. Our goal is to maintain and support Turner Farm, a Fairfax Country Park Authority park located in Great Falls. Founded in 2011, TFE hosts horse shows, clinics, and other equine activities. TFE donates funds to the FCPA so that riders can enjoy the park free of charge and helps in the maintenance of Turner Farm Park.
